Radiology

The radiologist Referred to as a radiologic technologist acquires medical images. The Diagnostic Radiologist, a medical professional with specialized training, then deciphers or “reads” the images and creates a report detailing their observations, impression, or diagnosis. Offtenly the diagnostic reporting will be handled by a reporting radiographer, a radiographer with additional training. In Some Countries, a radiographer will send the clinician who made the imaging request a brief note that is attached to the image. The “radiographer comment” or “preliminary image evaluation” offers an immediate preliminary response to a clinical inquiry, which is then followed by a final, radiologist-led diagnostic report. The picture archiving and communication system (PACS) stores digital copies of medical images.
